#96 - SPECIAL EPISODE - Supporting Our Jewish Sisters and Uniting Against Terror
“Evil is not some grand, supernatural force. It’s the small moments of inhumanity, the quiet choices to look away, the subtle dismissals of suffering. That is where evil thrives.”
— Susan Neiman, moral philosopher
I am showing up today with a broken heart and a fierce, unwavering spirit. If you’ve been paying attention, you know that on October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists invaded Israel, massacring over 1,200 innocent men, women, and children and taking hundreds hostage. Women were raped, tortured, and dragged through the streets. Babies were ripped from their mothers' arms. And yet, the world has largely remained silent.
Let me very clear: this is not a political statement—this is a human statement.
I refuse to stand by while Jewish women in my life are suffering, not just from the horrific attacks but from the deafening silence of their non-Jewish friends and from the world. These women—our sisters—are grieving, terrified, and questioning why so few are checking in, offering support, or even acknowledging their pain.
What is happening in Israel and in the tunnels of Gaza is pure evil. And if this doesn’t break your heart, if it doesn’t ignite righteous outrage, I urge you to check yourself.
This episode is a call to action for every woman who believes in the dignity of human life. I implore you to:
✅ Break the silence—reach out to Jewish friends, acknowledge their pain, and stand with them.
✅ Recognize evil when you see it—do not minimize or excuse acts of terror.
✅ Reject selective outrage—if we stand for women, we must stand for all women.
✅ Take action—use your platform, speak out, and refuse to be complicit in silence.
Never again...

Welcome to this special episode of the Girl Out of Order podcast. Today I am showing up with a broken heart and a fierce, fierce spirit. Unless you're living under a rock, you know that on October 7th, 2023, the Hamas terrorists invaded the state of Israel, massacring over 1200 innocent men, women, and children, and took hundreds
hostages in the tunnels under the Gaza Strip. At Girl Out of Order, we do not get into politics. We are not here to make any kind of political statement whatsoever. What is also true is that if we are going to stand for all women, then we cannot stand silent while women are raped and tortured and massacred.
and children are put in ovens and shot under the tunnels of Gaza. Why am I showing up today? It's because I have so many Jewish women in my life that I love dearly, and they are hurting.
and their pain is compounded by the deafening silence of their non-Jewish friends who do not seem to understand or be concerned about their pain.
At Girl Out of Order, we build bridges among all women. And I am not sitting here unaware that there is pain and suffering on the Palestinian side as well, but I am not here to talk about that today. Today, I am showing up for my Jewish sisters and I am imploring this community to do the same. Because we are all women. It doesn't matter where you're from, how you speak.
Christine Gale (02:03.384)
how you worship, where you live, how much money you make, who you love. We are female human beings. And when we stand silently by while women are ripped from their beds and babies are ripped from their arms and they are tortured and raped and mocked and dragged through the streets and we say nothing while our Jewish sisters.
who may not be in Israel are suffering, then we are letting other women down.
Christine Gale (02:39.638)
Yesterday Hamas was supposed to return the bodies of Shiri, Bebus and her two young sons Ariel and Kefir. Kefir was just 10 months old and Ariel was only four years old when Shiri, Kefir and Ariel were dragged into the Gaza Strip.
and held in the tunnels for who knows how long before they were murdered.
Their father was just released alive last week after over 500 days in captivity. What was their offense? They were Jewish people living in the state of Israel. That was their offense. And for that, they were massacred and tortured and tormented and mocked.
They were mocked to the point where Hamas turned over the bodies of Kefir, Ariel, and Shiri.
They paraded the caskets through the streets of Gaza and people were taking selfies with these tiny caskets as if this was some kind of celebration of the death of innocents.
Christine Gale (03:55.778)
But the ultimate offense, if there's so many layers of barbarism here, the body of the woman they turned over in a casket wasn't even Shiri Bebas.
Here's where I need you to understand the depths of the inhumanity of Hamas and the sympathizers, whether they're civilians or otherwise, is they put an unknown Gazan woman in a casket and paraded her body through the streets as if she was garbage, as if she was a nothing, not even a Jewish person, a Gazan woman, a female human being.
was thrown into a casket and unceremoniously turned over to Israel because that's how little they valued her as a person and as a wife.
We still don't know the whereabouts of Shiri Bebas.
Christine Gale (04:57.26)
Here's what I want you to know as my community.
If we lose our humanity, if this doesn't stir up in you outrage and break your heart, you need to check yourself.
Christine Gale (05:17.666)
Shiri Bebus.
was pictured holding her two little redheaded boys with absolute abject terror as they were being abducted. That's the picture that went around the world. And you would think the United Nations and all of the like human beings in all these different countries would rise up. When you see this image of this mama,
protecting her cubs. I have four children. I can't even imagine her terror in that moment. And up until the moment that their lives were snuffed out.
that there was very little outrage. And even as I record this, there's very little outrage.
And I've seen videos from my Jewish friends, leaders, people I trust, my mentors, very successful women making a huge impact and they are agonized and in so much pain as whole, as the granddaughter of his Holocaust survivor, as the wife of an Israeli, they are in pain and they're one of their exacerbating pains is that nobody's checking in on them. Nobody seems to understand how painful this is for them.
Christine Gale (06:44.322)
Because here's what you need to understand, that the pain and suffering of the Jewish people is unlike any other in the history of our world.
I've heard so many people, including the governor of my state, throw around the term Nazi and Hitler, and like it's some kind of moniker that you can just casually lob at somebody you disagree with. Maybe somebody you really truly morally disgust. They disgust you. That's fine.
It's fine that they disgust you. It's fine that you disagree with them. It's fine that you're protesting against them. That is your right, and I fully support it as a freedom-loving American, but what you don't get to do is to equate what's going on now with the suffering of the Jewish people, because it's unlike anything any human being has ever experienced in any country in the history of humanity. What took place in the Holocaust was beyond next level, the level of evil.
untouchable and unmatched. And there's a lot of evil that humans have done to each other and I'm not minimizing it.
Christine Gale (08:02.668)
but what happened in the Holocaust.
should shake every human to our core and we should never forget.
but it seems like so many have. And there's shoulder shrugs. wow. hostages release. okay. And we go on about our day.
Why does this matter to me? Because I want to live in a world where we stop when evil is presented and we take action. And if the only action I can take is to send my Jewish sisters a message and say, I don't understand your pain, but I know you're in pain and I want you to know I love you. I see you and I'm here for you and I will support you in whatever way I can.
Why is that so hard?
Christine Gale (08:59.47)
I was watching one video of one of my Jewish friends and she says, why? Why is nobody reaching out? work with hundreds of people and only 12, maybe 13 of my non-Jewish friends have even checked in on me and I'm in pain.
Christine Gale (09:16.216)
What I want you to understand.
is that the pain that's experienced, and I can only explain it from a non-Jewish person's perspective. So I can't even put myself in their shoes, but I do listen and I do inquire. And I am imploring you to learn, to listen, and to lean the hell in because this is unique pain. Jewish people suffer so much persecution and right now they're afraid.
They're afraid.
Because the support for terrorism has run rampant in this country.
Christine Gale (10:02.688)
And the silence is deafening.
Christine Gale (10:08.906)
Nobody should have to hide what they are for fear of their safety.
and no woman should stand idly by while women are dragged into the Gaza Strip and are raped and mutilated and paraded like trash.
Christine Gale (10:32.088)
So what I'm saying to you as a girl out of order is stand up, speak out, reach out, support your Jewish sisters because they are hurting. It's been painful for over 500 days. Very, very painful. Two weeks ago, four hostages were released, three or four, I can't remember the number, and they looked like they had just walked out of Auschwitz. And if you don't know what Auschwitz is, do your research.
They looked like Holocaust camp survivors. They clearly had been starved and tormented and tortured. These weren't soldiers. These weren't combatants. These were civilians yanked from their beds, ripped from their kibbutz, taken from music festivals and starved and held in darkness.
Christine Gale (11:25.356)
in the silence is deafening. Even the leader of the United Nations says nothing.
They don't even acknowledge these war crimes. They don't even acknowledge these violations of basic humanity, the degradation of humanity that is going on, the parading of these hostages, the cheering of civilians. Let it not go unnoticed that the people taking selfies are not always Hamas. They are civilians and children and they're cheering.
It reminds me after the towers fell on 9-11. I can still see it handing out candy in the Gaza strip, handing out candy in some of these different communities and cheering as thousands plummeted to their deaths. May it never stand. But I want to speak right now to you as a woman.
Either you stand up for all women or you stand for none.
Christine Gale (12:39.192)
Support your sisters.
Christine Gale (00:01.76)
We should all be feeling a collective and passionate sense of outrage.
as we watch those tiny caskets be returned to Israel.
and then found out that some poor Gazan woman's body was discarded like she was nothing. Where is the outrage? Where is the crying out? Yes, we can walk and chew gum at the same time. We can be outraged at the government for whatever they're doing. We can protest. We can do all those things and we can support our Jewish sisters right now who are hurting.
They are in pain. And if you have a daughter put her face on those female soldiers as they were dragged from their barracks by their braids and thrown into a trap.
What if it was your dog?
Christine Gale (01:07.576)
What if it was your daughter that was mowed down at a concert for peace in the desert?
What if it was your little Ariel or Kefir who was ripped from your arms and put into a locked casket and given keys that didn't even open those caskets? Because that's how little their lives meant to these animals.
Christine Gale (01:33.164)
I know this is not your typical podcast, but these are not typical times.
And I don't want to be the leader of a community that only reaches out and advocates for some women. I know there are women in this community that are hurting with the current political climate that are afraid. I understand. have daughters that feel that way and I enter in. I am listening. I am willing to listen and engage and converse because if we shy away from hard conversations that impact female human beings, what are
we doing? When we ignore violations of basic human decency and shrug our shoulders at barbarism that rips innocent people from their beds and mows them down at a concert and buries them under tunnels for 500 days, we need to check our own humanity. So what can you do?
Christine Gale (02:36.546)
support whatever you can on your platforms. Reach out to your Jewish friends. Tell them you're listening. Tell them you see them. just ask them how they're doing and don't assume anything because not every Jewish person feels the same way. They're humans. Some people are less affected than others, but you know what? They appreciate being seen, heard, and valued.
Because as they tuck their Jewish children in at night, they see Kefir and Ariel. And they look in the mirror and they see Shiri.
and our Jewish friends matter and they're hurting in ways that maybe you and I can't understand. But is it necessary to understand in order to love? In order to be a sower of peace, a peacemaker? No, it is not. It is not necessary.
It's not necessary to understand exactly what they're going through to do your part to help them feel less alone. And so that is my call to you.
I want to build a community of all women. If we disagree politically, have hard conversations, but don't just talk, listen. Don't shy away from people you disagree with simply because they vote differently or they think differently or they love differently or they live in a different place. Call out evil when you see it.
Christine Gale (04:19.04)
and check on your sisters because they are not okay.
Thank you for tuning in for this very special, unusual podcast.
Because at the end of the day...
We need to stand up for all of our sisters.
We need to be united against any form of terror. So I am calling on you to support your Jewish sisters today. Take action now. Do your part and make your world.
Christine Gale (04:57.101)
less evil.
and more hopeful. I'll see you next time.
